IV Sedation

This type of sedation induces the state of moderate to deep relaxation and puts you at ease throughout the appointment. IV Sedation allows Dr. Rojas to continually adjust the level of sedation needed during the procedure. The sedatives produce either partial or full memory loss (amnesia) and you will feel as if you were “asleep” during the procedure.

This is also a perfect option for those who aren’t particularly fearful of dental procedures. “Mega Sessions” are longer booking appointments that allow Dr. Rojas’ team to provide multiple treatments — from common to complex — in a single treatment.

Nitrous Oxide

This alternative is known as “Laughing Gas”. It is a great option for those who are slightly nervous or uncomfortable with dental settings. The gas induces relaxation within minutes, making you feel calm and comfortable. The level of sedation can be adjusted as needed and the effects wear off shortly after the treatment is completed.

Oral Sedation

This option takes the “edge off”, making you feel calm and unaware of the sights, smells and sounds. Oftentimes, our patients are relaxed enough from oral sedation to actually fall asleep during the procedure. The medication will be taken an hour before the appointment, and during the length of your visit, vital signs will be monitored.

Results can last for many years with proper oral hygiene and routine dental visits.

  • Looking at instant results
  • It requires no alteration of the natural structure of teeth

Porcelain Veneers

Veneers are very thin, individually designed, ceramic shells that we attached permanently to your teeth. They are a great solution to your smile if you have problems including orthodontic adjustments and teeth whitening. This procedure is very common and Dr. Rojas is recognized to do an impeccable work with ceramics.

Applying porcelain veneers is still considered a simple procedure that can improve the appearance of your smile.

Benefits for this type of treatment include:

  • It may help you avoid orthodontic treatment.
  • Application is usually completed in only two office visits.

ZOOM2!™ Whitening

If you suffer, like millions of people, from dental discoloration, then this whitening treatment may be your best option to improve the look of your smile. It is safe, simple and take only one-hour. After checking your teeth and gums, our staff will apply a whitening gel containing hydrogen peroxide over your teeth followed by a light that activates and breaks down the hydrogen peroxide. This allows oxygen to enter your teeth and bleach the dentin and enamel.

Benefits for this type of treatment include:

  • This is a low-risk procedure, and therefore it is suitable for a wide range of patients.
  • By following some simple post whitening care instructions, your teeth will always be lighter than they were before.

Dental Implants

If  you have a missing tooth space that has no surrounding teeth, Dr. Rojas may decide an implant is the most appropriate treatment choice or option.

This is the next logical solution to having a mouth full of natural, solid, and healthy teeth. A dental implant replaces the full structure of a missing teeth from root to crown.  Made from titanium, implants are surgically embedded in the jaw by specialized surgeons. This implant fuses overtime to the bone acting as an artificial root making this dental procedure one that last a lifetime.  Then Dr. Rojas attaches custom-crafted replacement teeth to the implants.

Benefits for this type of treatment include:

  • Restore full form and function to your mouth
  • A dental implant becomes part of your natural anatomy, providing security and stability comparable to your other healthy tooth roots.

A crown is a permanent covering that fits over your natural tooth to restore the normal function and appearance of your tooth.

Crowns are made of a variety of metals, porcelain or acrylic. Porcelain generally having the most natural appearance. This process generally consists of a minimum of two to three visits over a three to four week period. Given proper care, your crowns can last a lifetime.

Inlays & Onlays

If you are missing a small amount of tooth structure you may need an inlay/onlay. The difference remains in the  area of the tooth covered. Traditionally known as “fillings” and only made of metal, inlays and onlays now come in different materials that blend with natural tooth color. Inlays/onlays are stronger, last longer and preserves tooth structure from further decaying.

Upon a thorough evaluation Dr. Ruth Rojas will determine if either Inlays/ Onlays are the adequate treatment for you, as many times it is difficult to determine if they are better to use than crowns.

Missing one to three consecutive teeth may make you a candidate for a dental bridge. Teeth surrounding the space missing these teeth will serve as a foundation where the artificial teeth with hold bonded as an extended crown. Some bridges need to be fixed to the jawbone. In these latter cases an implant may be needed.

Benefits for this type of treatment include:

  • Is a common, affordable and low risk treatment for missing teeth
  • Restores dental functionality and oral health

Dentures are another great alternative for replacing missing teeth. Dentures and overdentures are removable prosthetic teeth attached to a supporting structure.

They are made to closely resemble your natural teeth and may even enhance your smile. Dentures are very durable appliances and will last many years, but may have to be remade, repaired, or readjusted due to normal wear.

Reasons for dentures:

  • Complete Denture – Loss of all teeth in an arch.
  • Partial Denture – Loss of several teeth in an arch.
  • Enhancing smile and facial tissues.
  • Improving chewing, speech, and digestion.

An overdenture is defined as a removable partial denture or a complete denture that covers and rests on one or more remaining natural teeth, the roots of natural teeth, and/or dental implants.

It is also known as overlay denture, hybrid prosthesis, telescoping denture or tooth supported denture.

Advanced periodontal or gum disease usually cause loose or painful teeth. If many of your teeth have become loose or painful, it may be too late for to save them. In such a situation, removing some of your teeth and replacing them with an overdenture may be the best way to avoid infection and restore function and health to your mouth.

Retention of any tooth for an overdenture preserves a portion of one of the major sensory inputs, for example input from the periodontal proprioceptors that respond to position and movement enabling better enjoyment of food.

Studies show that the use of an overdenture preserves the alveolar or jaw bone, especially in the area of retained teeth. With a regular denture, when all our teeth are removed, it causes bone in the jaw to recede. However, when an overdenture is placed, some of the natural teeth retained are used to anchor the denture. By leaving some of the roots of the teeth in place, bone loss can be significantly fended off bone loss and a more stable denture can be provided.
